About our doctors & your safety
Yes. Dr. Ho-chan Kim is a board-certified general surgeon (1995) with an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Physiology, and Dr. Young-mi Rhee is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology (1995) with an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Anatomy. Both trained at Wonkwang University College of Medicine and have practiced for more than 25 years.
Your Chief Director does, from the consultation and treatment planning to the treatment or surgery itself; nothing is handed off. For major procedures, both directors take part together, so every step of your care stays in the hands of the doctors you met at your consultation.
Yes. Gangnam Celliting Clinic has cared for more than 1,500 international patients since 2020, mainly from China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and the United States. The clinic also regularly hosts physicians from abroad for training and observation, and both Chief Directors serve as consulting physicians for aesthetic and dermatology clinics in Beijing and Shanghai.
The clinic has operated since 2007 without a serious complication. We use only FDA- or KFDA-cleared devices where applicable and genuine materials, maintain four sterile treatment rooms, and monitor every patient closely throughout treatment. All medical procedures carry potential risks, which we explain in detail at your consultation.
Comfort is built into every treatment plan: monitored sedation when appropriate, AirNox nitrous-oxygen analgesia, an X-injector designed to reduce injection pain by about 80%, and topical or cream anesthesia. How a treatment feels varies from person to person, so tell us your concerns and we will plan around them.
Dr. Ho-chan Kim holds official device certifications for Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, and 10THERMA, and the clinic's treatment devices are operated under the directors' direct supervision. The right device for you is chosen at your consultation, and results vary from person to person.
